Oil pulling
There is a broad philosophy around oil pulling, which has an important position in Ayurveda. Here we would like to show you a very simple method.
In the meantime, the occasional oral and dental care with a good oil has also found some followers in Germany and Europe. The effort is low and the benefit is high. As soon as a person is ailing and feels groggy, it is small things that contribute to whether the disease breaks out or is nipped in the bud. Oral hygiene is the first barrier to preventative health protection as soon as the pathogen enters via the mouth. Thorough cleaning of the teeth, tongue and interdental spaces is very important. The intensive care helps the defence-stable miliue of our oral mucosa. We should not underestimate its importance.
But there is something else you can do, namely the daily oil pulling! You can apply oil daily, but even the occasional application has positive effects.
Traditionally, cold-pressed sesame oil in organic quality is used. Sesam oil is antibacterial. But you can also use other cold-pressed oils. If you like the light pungency of a good olive oil, you can use olive oil very well.
Take about 1 tablespoon of the oil of your choice in your mouth. Press and pull the oil repeatedly through the spaces between your teeth. Keep the oil in your mouth in case you take a break. Usually a procedure takes about 3 to 15 minutes. This depends entirely on your time. However, 3 minutes should be the lower limit.
Very important: Never swallow the cleansing oil, you want to detoxify by drawing the oil out and not absorb it through your digestion. Wash your mouth out thoroughly with warm water.
After removing the oil, continue with your usual oral/dental hygiene.
We wish you all the best with your health!
